Cambodia  (Asia)

Cambodia. Female dancers at the royal court are called apsaras. Almost all were killed by the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s, but they remain immortalized in bas relief carvings of Angkor Wat and new generations of dancers have come since 1993. In this set the Queen is an apsara.
