Hungary. This Hungarian set has been made in war time, or soon after, at time that resources were scarce. The pieces were sawn with a jigsaw out of a wooden board and painted afterwards. It resides in an adapted box of the American Red Cross food distribution for "ömlesztett sajt", processed cheese. Once it did belong to Michael from class 3b. It has some history!

Hungary. Not much can be said about this plastic travel set in the Staunton style. There is a logo - a chess board in a caliper - on the outer plastic shell. I have seen it on a chess board and a chess set at a discussion forum on chess.com. The set did have "versenysakk" (competitive chess) on it, so it is Hungarian. On chess.com it is said it is a Hungarian brand from 30 years ago. The company name is "Piért".
